Publer and SocialPilot take up to 500 posts in one CSV upload, Hootsuite takes up to 350, Buffer takes up to 100 per channel on paid plans, and LotsSocial takes up to 50 per request from your AI agent or from a CSV or Excel file in the dashboard, then repeats for bigger batches. Posts are unlimited on LotsSocial, so a big batch costs nothing extra. I checked each tool below on its own pages on 31 October 2026.

"Bulk" means two different things: how many posts one upload takes, and where those posts come from. Some tools read a CSV with a time and an image link on every row. Others take a list from your AI agent, which writes one post per item, adapts each for its network and checks it before anything is scheduled. This list shows both for every tool, so you can pick on the thing that matters to you.

## How to choose

- **How big is a batch?** A month of daily posts to several networks passes 50 rows quickly. A tool capped at 50 per request needs a few rounds, and one capped at 500 takes it in a single file.
- **Where do the posts come from?** A spreadsheet you already keep, a list in a doc, a changelog, a folder of images, or something your agent writes from a brief.
- **Does the file carry the time and the media?** Several CSV formats take a posting time and an image or video link per row. Others take captions only and set the times afterwards.
- **What is checked before it goes out?** Caption limits, required media and fields (a subreddit for Reddit, a board for Pinterest) differ by network, and a batch is where one mistake gets repeated 50 times.
- **Which plan includes it?** Some tools put bulk upload on every plan, including Free. Others put it on a paid plan.

## Bulk social media schedulers at a glance

| Tool | Posts per bulk upload | Where the posts come from | Plan with bulk |
|---|---|---|---|
| **LotsSocial** | **50 per agent request, repeat for more; 50 captions per dashboard batch** | **Your AI agent (any list, sheet or brief) or a CSV or Excel file of captions in the dashboard** | **No bulk gate: posts are unlimited, billing is on connected accounts** |
| Buffer | 100 per channel per upload on paid plans, 10 on Free | CSV per channel (text and single-image posts) | All plans, Free included |
| Publer | Up to 500 posts per CSV | CSV with descriptions, links and media links | A paid plan |
| Metricool | Not stated; its guide suggests about 50 posts a file | CSV from a template, or media from Google Drive | Free plan, per its guide |
| SocialPilot | Up to 500 posts | CSV | Listed on Standard, not on Essentials |
| Hootsuite | Up to 350 posts | Its bulk scheduler (file format not stated on its pages) | Not stated on its plans page; not in the trial |
| RecurPost | Not stated on its pricing page | CSV import | Listed in its plan comparison |
| Postiz | Not stated | CSV upload, per its channel pages | Not stated on its pricing page |
| Post Bridge | Not stated | Bulk video scheduling | Listed on Marketer |

Checked on 31 October 2026 on each vendor's own pages. "Not stated" means I could not read it on the vendor's pricing or feature pages that day. Pallyy and Later do not list a bulk upload on their pricing pages, so they are left out of the table; check them before you rely on one.

## 1. LotsSocial

**Fits:** founders, marketers and social managers who already work in ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Muse and want a whole batch scheduled from a list, with each post checked first.

LotsSocial has two bulk paths, and both do the whole job.

**From your AI agent.** Your agent sends up to 50 drafts or scheduled posts in one request, with `bulk_create_social_posts`, for one shared set of connected accounts. It writes one post per item in your list, with a different caption per network where that helps, and it gives each post its own `scheduled_time`. The source can be anything you can hand it: a spreadsheet as a file or pasted rows, a changelog, a list of tips, a folder of images. For more than 50, it repeats the request. The documented rate for the bulk endpoint is 10 requests a minute.

Before it saves anything, your agent can run `validate_social_post` on the whole batch. It takes the same posts and the list of accounts and returns errors, warnings and notices for each post with the sentence the dashboard would show: caption and title limits, required media, size, format and video length. Reddit needs a subreddit and Pinterest needs a board and a title, and your agent passes those once for the batch or per post in `platform_fields`. That is how a typo in row 31 gets caught before it goes out 50 times.

A prompt that works:

> Here is a spreadsheet of 40 tips. Make one LinkedIn and one X post for each, with a shorter caption for X. Check the whole batch first, then schedule them one each weekday at 8am starting Monday, and show me the calendar.

Bulk creates drafts or scheduled posts. It does not publish immediately, so nothing in a batch goes out until its time.

**In the dashboard.** Open **Bulk schedule** in the sidebar and choose **Text Posts**, **Image Posts** or **Video Posts**. For text, upload a CSV or Excel file (.csv, .xlsx or .xls): one caption per row in the first column, with an optional header row. Select the accounts every post goes to, and edit captions per network on any post with **Update Captions** and the caption tab for each network. Then **Smart Schedule** sets the times for you, either **Custom Interval** (every few minutes, hours or days from a start time) or **Time Range** (spread across a date and time range, with **Weekdays only (Mon-Fri)**). The final button reads **Schedule N Posts**. The dashboard takes up to 50 text posts per batch.

- **Pricing is on accounts, not posts.** Five accounts are $10 a month on pay as you go ($2 per connected account). Starter covers 12 accounts for $20, Pro covers 40 for $59 and Business covers 150 for $149, with two months free yearly. Posts, media storage, brands, workspaces and team members are unlimited. Pro and Business include LotsNotes Pro. More in [LotsSocial pricing explained](https://blog.lots.social/lotssocial-pricing-explained).
- **Twelve networks.** LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit and Google Business, and your agent can connect the accounts too: [how to connect your social accounts to your AI agent](https://blog.lots.social/connect-social-accounts-to-ai-agent).

New accounts get free credits when they sign up, no card, enough to run 2 accounts for about a month. [See pricing](https://lots.social/pricing) and the [bulk scheduling page](https://lots.social/features/bulk-schedule).

**Choose it if** your batch starts as a list, a sheet or a brief rather than a finished file, you want each network's rules checked before anything is saved, and you would rather pay for accounts than for posts. If you want a single 500-row file with a time and an image link on every row, the CSV tools below take bigger files.

## 2. Buffer

**Fits:** a team that wants bulk upload on the free plan.

Buffer's bulk upload works per channel: Publish, the channel's gear icon, General, then Bulk Upload, where you download a template for that channel. Each row is one post with Text, Image URL, optional Tags and an optional Posting Time in the format YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm. Free takes up to 10 posts per channel per upload, limited by open queue slots, and paid plans take up to 100. Bulk upload supports text and single-image posts; video and carousel posts are not supported, and it is not supported for YouTube. Each image needs a direct link, and a posting time left blank goes to the next slot in your queue. Buffer's help page says bulk upload is on all plans, Free included. See [LotsSocial vs Buffer](https://blog.lots.social/lotssocial-vs-buffer) and [Buffer alternatives for founders and small teams](https://blog.lots.social/buffer-alternatives).

## 3. Publer

**Fits:** a team that wants the biggest single CSV and per-row media links.

Publer's bulk scheduling page says you can upload up to 500 posts at once with a CSV file, with descriptions, links and media links in the file, and you can also upload up to 500 media files, with imports from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and Unsplash. Its page lists Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, X, Google Business, Bluesky and Telegram. Its free plan includes basic scheduling, and the page says full bulk scheduling and CSV uploads need a paid plan. See [LotsSocial vs Publer](https://blog.lots.social/lotssocial-vs-publer).

## 4. Metricool

**Fits:** a business that wants bulk upload with analytics in the same tool.

In Metricool you open the Calendar's options menu, choose Import CSV and download the template. Each row is a post with the caption, the time and a public link to media, up to 10 per post, and you mark TRUE or FALSE per network instead of naming it. Its guide recommends about 50 posts per file, and you can instead connect Google Drive in the Planner to pull in media. A preview opens before anything goes live. Its guide dated 2 September 2026 says all of this works on the free plan. See [LotsSocial vs Metricool](https://blog.lots.social/lotssocial-vs-metricool).

## 5. SocialPilot

**Fits:** a small team that wants a large CSV and a social inbox on one plan.

SocialPilot's bulk scheduling page says you can create and schedule up to 500 posts across multiple accounts by uploading a CSV. Multiple images and a first comment can go in the content file, and posts carry tags. On its pricing page, Bulk Schedule is listed on the Standard plan card and the Essentials card does not list it.

## 6. Hootsuite

**Fits:** a larger business that wants bulk scheduling next to inbox and listening.

Hootsuite's publishing page says its bulk scheduler schedules up to 350 posts at once. Its plans page says bulk scheduling is not available during the free trial and does not say which paid plan carries it.

## 7. RecurPost, Postiz and Post Bridge

- **RecurPost** lists Bulk scheduling (CSV import) in its plan comparison table. The batch size is not stated on its pricing page.
- **Postiz** says on its channel pages that you can upload a CSV to queue weeks of posts. The batch size and plan are not stated on its pricing page. See [LotsSocial vs Postiz](https://blog.lots.social/lotssocial-vs-postiz).
- **Post Bridge** lists bulk video scheduling on its Marketer plan. How it works and its size are not stated on its pricing page. See [LotsSocial vs Post Bridge](https://blog.lots.social/lotssocial-vs-post-bridge).

## If you run the social yourself as a business owner

You do not need a big file. Batch a month of posts once: give your agent a list of what you sell, your offers and your dates, ask it to check the batch, and look at the calendar. Because LotsSocial charges for connected accounts and not for posts, scheduling 30 or 300 posts costs the same, and nothing is published until its time. Buffer's Free plan is the right start if 10 posts per channel is enough. [Pick your agent's guide](https://lots.social/agents).

## If you run social for clients

Bulk scheduling is where client work either saves hours or goes wrong. In LotsSocial:

- **One batch per brand.** A bulk request is for one shared set of accounts, and brand-scoped work passes the brand. If a post is refused for mixing brands, send each brand's batch separately.
- **Client approval by link.** Save the posts with approval requested and send the client one link. They approve or reject each post with an optional comment, with no LotsSocial login. A post waiting or rejected never publishes, and your agent can ask for approval but never approves for the client.
- **Client connect links.** A client connects their own accounts through a link that lasts up to 7 days.

Brands, workspaces and team members are unlimited. Details in [how to let clients connect their own accounts](https://blog.lots.social/social-media-management-for-agencies-client-connect).

## Which bulk scheduler fits?

- **Your batch starts as a list, sheet or brief, and each network's rules matter:** LotsSocial.
- **You want bulk upload on a free plan:** Buffer, or Metricool per its guide.
- **You want one CSV of up to 500 rows with media links:** Publer or SocialPilot.
- **You want bulk scheduling inside a larger suite:** Hootsuite.

Prices for 3, 5 and 10 accounts across more tools are in [cheapest social media scheduler](https://blog.lots.social/cheapest-social-media-scheduler), a wider list is in [the best social media schedulers for small business](https://blog.lots.social/best-social-media-schedulers-for-small-business), and every comparison is at [lots.social/compare](https://lots.social/compare).

## Common questions

### How many posts can I schedule at once?

It depends on the tool. Publer and SocialPilot take up to 500 posts in one CSV, Hootsuite up to 350, and Buffer up to 100 per channel per upload on paid plans (10 on Free). LotsSocial takes up to 50 per agent request and repeats for larger batches, and posts are unlimited.

### Can I bulk schedule from a spreadsheet or CSV?

Yes, in most of them. Buffer, Publer, Metricool and SocialPilot take a CSV. In LotsSocial you upload a CSV or Excel file of captions in the dashboard (.csv, .xlsx or .xls), or hand the spreadsheet to your agent and ask it to schedule the rows.

### Which bulk schedulers work with an AI agent?

LotsSocial takes a whole batch from your agent with one tool call and can check it first. Buffer, Publer, Metricool, SocialPilot, Postiz and Post Bridge also have MCP servers or APIs; check each one's docs for what a batch can do through them.

### Can each network get its own caption in a bulk batch?

In LotsSocial, yes: your agent can pass a caption per network, and the dashboard has a caption tab for each network on every post. Publer also lets you customise per network, per its bulk scheduling page.

### Can I bulk schedule to Reddit and Pinterest?

In LotsSocial, yes. Reddit needs a subreddit and Pinterest needs a board and a title, and your agent passes them once for the whole batch or per post. Check each other tool's network list before you buy.

### What happens if one post in the batch breaks a network rule?

In LotsSocial each post is checked against the network's rules, and a post that breaks one is refused with a reason so your agent can fix it. You can check the whole batch first with `validate_social_post`. Networks can still reject a post for their own reasons, so check the results.
