Zernio Alternatives for People Who Use an AI Agent

If you want a finished social media workspace that your AI agent can run, with plans or a flat per-account price, the closest Zernio alternatives are LotsSocial, Post Bridge and Postiz. If you're a developer who wants API volume pricing, look at Outstand, bundle.social or Ayrshare. All of them have an MCP server, and the differences that matter are how you pay, whether your agent can connect your accounts, and how many networks you get.

Zernio is a developer-first social API with a hosted MCP server. It signs in with OAuth, lets the agent connect new accounts, and gives the first two connected accounts away free. It bills per connected account, and some costs are metered on top. That suits some people and not others, so here's how the alternatives compare, checked against each vendor's own pages on 7 October 2026.

Why people look beyond Zernio

Zernio does what it says: one API and one MCP server across 16 to 17 networks plus ad networks, with comments, messages and analytics. Three things are worth weighing before you choose:

  • It's an API first. Zernio describes itself as a developer-first REST API and hosted MCP server. There's a dashboard where you connect accounts, but you're not buying a finished scheduling workspace for a team.
  • The bill is usage-based. Each connected account is priced on a sliding scale, and X API costs are passed through per request. Messaging and ads are metered separately.
  • The tool catalog is large. Zernio exposes 496 tools, with about 50 visible by default and the rest found through search_tools. That's powerful for developers. Other tools in this list ship a smaller, fixed set, from 16 tools at Post Bridge to 28 at Outstand.

If none of that matters to you, Zernio is a fair choice. If it does, the alternatives below each address one of those.

What 5, 12, 20 and 40 accounts cost

Monthly prices at each vendor's list rates, before Zernio's X API, messaging and ads charges:

Accounts you connectZernioLotsSocialPost BridgePostiz
5$18$10 (pay as you go)$39$29
12$54$20 (Starter)$39$49
20$78$33.36 (Starter + 8 extra at $1.67)$99$49
40$138$59 (Pro)$99$99

Zernio's first two accounts are free, so it's cheaper at one or two accounts. From four accounts up, LotsSocial costs less.

1. LotsSocial

Best for: people who use ChatGPT, Claude or another agent and want it to connect their accounts and run them, with a plan or a flat per-account price.

You add one URL, https://api.lots.social/mcp, and sign in through your browser. Ask your agent to connect LinkedIn and it gives you a secure link; you approve on LinkedIn's own page, and the link covers all 12 networks. LotsSocial runs every network's developer app for you, so there's nothing to register.

It checks each post against its account before saving: caption limits, required media and formats. Drafts never publish. Plans are 12 accounts for $20, 40 for $59 and 150 for $149 a month, or $2 per connected account per month with no subscription. Posts, media storage, brands, workspaces and team members are unlimited. New accounts get 5,000 free credits for 90 days with no card.

Choose it if you want your agent to connect accounts across every network, a team without per-seat pricing, and a bill you can predict from your account count.

2. Post Bridge

Best for: one person marketing a business who also wants a command-line tool.

Post Bridge signs in with OAuth and has 16 tools, plus a REST API, a CLI and an OpenClaw skill on every plan. Its agent can connect Instagram, Facebook and TikTok accounts. Marketer is $39 a month for 15 accounts with unlimited posts, and Operator is $99 for 99 accounts and adds team members. There's a 7-day free trial.

3. Postiz

Best for: the longest network list, or a scheduler you can self-host.

Postiz supports 30+ platforms, is open source, and includes the hosted MCP server, CLI, API and webhooks on every plan. You sign in with OAuth through its Claude and ChatGPT connectors or a custom link, or use an API key. Agents work on channels you've already connected in the Postiz app. Plans run from $29 for 5 channels to $99 for 100, with a 7-day trial that needs a card. Standard has no team members. See our LotsSocial vs Postiz comparison.

4. Outstand

Best for: developers who want to pay by post volume with unlimited accounts.

Outstand is a social publishing API with a 28-tool MCP server. You sign in with one-click OAuth or an API key, and the agent can connect new platforms. Pricing is $19 a month with 3,000 posts included, then $0.007 per post up to 10,000 and $0.005 above that, with unlimited connected accounts. Eight of its 12 networks run on Outstand's own developer apps. For X, Google Business Profile, Vimeo and Reddit you register your own app with the platform first.

5. bundle.social

Best for: developers building their own scheduler or agent harness on a typed SDK.

bundle.social offers an MCP server (run through the bundlesocial-mcp npm package), a command-line tool, a TypeScript SDK and a REST API on 15 platforms, hosted in the EU. It authenticates with an API key. Pricing is per organization by post volume: Free is $0 with 3 accounts and 20 posts a month, Pro is $100 a month with 10,000 posts and unlimited accounts (14-day trial), and Business is $400 with 100,000 posts. X usage is billed separately from a prepaid balance.

6. Ayrshare

Best for: building social posting into your own software or running client profiles through an API.

Ayrshare's MCP server uses an API key. Its documentation says personal connectors in Claude Desktop, claude.ai and Claude mobile can't authenticate with it, while Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and n8n can. It has a tool that generates a social-linking URL for a profile, and profiles need a Business plan. Pricing is per profile, where a profile is one customer, brand or location: $149 a month for 1 profile, $299 for up to 10 and $599 for 30. The Launch plan has a 28-day trial with no card.
