Ayrshare Alternatives for People Who Use an AI Agent

If you use ChatGPT, Claude or another AI agent and want it to post to your own brands or a handful of clients, the closest Ayrshare alternative is LotsSocial: OAuth sign-in from your agent, a connect link for all 12 networks, and $20 a month for 12 accounts instead of $149 for one profile. If you're a developer building social posting into your own product, look at Zernio, bundle.social or Outstand; for your own accounts on a flat plan, Post Bridge; for open source, Postiz.

Ayrshare is a unified social media API built for products: SaaS platforms, AI companies and agencies that post on behalf of their customers. It's good at that. But its pricing, sign-in and setup are designed for a developer embedding it in software, which is why people who mainly want their agent to run social media look around. Everything below was checked against each vendor's own pages on 11 October 2026.

Why people look for Ayrshare alternatives

Ayrshare covers 14+ networks, including Snapchat, Telegram and WhatsApp (beta), with publishing, history, analytics, comments and DMs in one API, and unlimited posts and API calls on every plan. These are the four things on its own pages that make an agent user compare:

  • It's priced for products. Ayrshare's pricing page is titled "Built for Products, Not Seats" and bills per social profile. Premium is $149 a month for 1 profile and is a single-user plan; Launch is $299 for up to 10 profiles, with a 28-day free trial and no card; Business is $599 for 30. That's fair value if each profile is a paying customer of your SaaS. It's a lot if the profile is you.
  • It's API-first. Its Business plan docs say you build your own front end and call the API, and the Ayrshare dashboard is for your internal team. Your customers connect through a white-labeled page you open with a JWT URL.
  • The MCP server signs in with a static API key only. Ayrshare's own connection docs say a personal connector in Claude Desktop, claude.ai or Claude mobile can't authenticate, because the server needs an Authorization: Bearer header and publishes no OAuth metadata. Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and n8n work, because you can set the header there.
  • X needs your own developer app. Since 31 March 2026, X operations through Ayrshare need your own X OAuth 1.0a credentials, sent as two extra headers on every X request.

If you're embedding social posting for thousands of end users under your brand, none of that is a problem, and Ayrshare, Zernio or bundle.social are the tools built for it. If you want your agent to run your social accounts, read on.

What one brand, 10 clients and 30 clients cost

Ayrshare counts a profile as one customer with any number of networks; LotsSocial counts connected accounts. Here's the same workload on both, at monthly list prices:

WorkloadAyrshareLotsSocial
Your own brand on 6 networks$149 (Premium, 1 profile)$12 (6 accounts, pay as you go)
10 clients on 4 networks each (40 accounts)$299 (Launch, up to 10 profiles)$59 (Pro, 40 accounts)
30 clients on 5 networks each (150 accounts)$599 (Business, 30 profiles)$149 (Business, 150 accounts)

LotsSocial also has no extra charge for X: the price is per connected account on all 12 networks, with unlimited posts. For the full breakdown of plans and credits, see LotsSocial pricing explained.

1. LotsSocial

Best for: people who use ChatGPT, Claude or another AI agent and want it to connect and run their social accounts, for their own brands or a few clients.

You add one URL, https://api.lots.social/mcp, to your agent and sign in through your browser with OAuth. That works in ChatGPT and in Claude's own connectors, as well as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI and any client with remote MCP support. There's no key to paste. If you write code too, the REST API takes an API key and covers the same accounts and posts.

Ask your agent to connect LinkedIn and it gives you a secure link; you approve on LinkedIn's own page. The link lasts an hour, can connect several accounts, and covers all 12 networks: LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit and Google Business. LotsSocial runs every network's developer app for you, X included, so there's nothing to register and no review to wait for. For clients, the dashboard makes brand-scoped connect links they can open without a LotsSocial account.

Every post is checked against its account before it's saved: caption limits (280 on free X, 25,000 on Premium), required media for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest, and media formats. Drafts never publish. And you don't have to do everything through the agent: the dashboard has a composer, calendar, bulk scheduling, a media library, analytics and brands. Your agent for speed, the dashboard for control.

Plans are 12 accounts for $20, 40 for $59 and 150 for $149 a month, and extra accounts are at your plan's rate. Or pay $2 per connected account per month from credits, with no subscription. Posts, media storage, brands, workspaces and team members are unlimited. New accounts get 5,000 free credits, valid 90 days, no card.

Choose it if you want your agent, not your code, to do the posting, on a bill you can predict from your account count.

2. Zernio

Best for: developers who want per-account pricing, OAuth sign-in for agents, and lots of SDKs.

Zernio (formerly Late) is a social media API with a hosted MCP server at https://mcp.zernio.com/mcp that signs in with OAuth 2.1, or an API key for headless setups. Its agents page lists 17 platforms, and the agent can start a platform's OAuth flow and hand you the link mid-task. There's a CLI and a REST API with 8 SDKs. Pricing is per connected account: the first two are free with no card, then $6 each for accounts 3 to 10, $3 each for 11 to 100 and $1 each beyond. X API usage is passed through at X's rates. I covered it in more depth in Zernio alternatives.

3. bundle.social

Best for: multi-tenant products that want unlimited accounts and a monthly post pool.

bundle.social is a social media API for 15 platforms, including Discord, Slack, Mastodon and Snapchat, hosted in the EU. Its MCP server runs from the bundlesocial-mcp npm package with your API key, alongside a CLI and a TypeScript SDK. For connecting accounts, you create a hosted portal link that handles OAuth and page pickers, or build your own flow. Free is $0 with API access, 3 accounts and 20 posts a month; Pro is $100 a month for 10,000 posts with unlimited accounts and a 14-day trial; Business is $400 for 100,000 posts. X is billed from a prepaid balance: $0.015 per post, or $0.20 for a post with a link.

4. Outstand

Best for: developers who want to pay by post volume with unlimited connected accounts.

Outstand's MCP server has 28 tools and signs in with one-click OAuth as a custom connector in ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor, or with your API key. It includes tools to connect new platforms. Pay as you go is $19 a month with 3,000 posts, then $0.007 per post up to 10,000 and $0.005 beyond; Business is $129 for 50,000 posts and permits reselling. Outstand runs its own apps on 8 of its 12 networks. For X, Google Business Profile, Vimeo and Reddit you register your own developer app first.

5. Upload-Post

Best for: short video posted from automation tools like n8n and Make, priced per profile like Ayrshare.

Upload-Post publishes to 22 platforms and has upload-post packages for Python and Node.js, an official n8n node and a hosted, open-source MCP server with 50 tools. Like Ayrshare, it bills per profile, where a profile is one person or client with one account per platform. The free plan gives 10 uploads a month and 2 profiles with no card; Basic is $192 a year for 5 profiles with unlimited uploads; white-label integration starts on Professional, at $400 a year for 25 profiles. Links in X posts cost $19 a month extra.

6. Post Bridge

Best for: one person marketing a business who wants a simple scheduler, an API and a CLI.

Post Bridge's MCP server signs in with OAuth and has 16 tools; Claude and ChatGPT connect from their directories. Its agent can create a connect link for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest and Bluesky. Marketer is $39 a month for 15 accounts with unlimited posts, and Operator is $99 for 99 accounts, then $1 each, both with a 7-day free trial. See LotsSocial vs Post Bridge for the side-by-side.

7. Postiz

Best for: an open-source alternative to Ayrshare, or the longest network list.

Postiz is open source with a hosted cloud and covers 30+ networks. Every plan includes its MCP server, CLI, public API and webhooks, and the MCP server signs in with OAuth, no API key. Your agent works on the channels you've already connected in Postiz. Plans run from $29 a month for 5 channels to $99, each with a 7-day free trial. Self-hosting means getting your own app approved on each network. More in LotsSocial vs Postiz.

If you're choosing an API for code rather than for an agent, I compared nine in the best social media APIs for developers. For the agent side, see the best social media schedulers with MCP support. And if you'd rather go direct to a network, Instagram's API publishing limits show what that involves.

Common questions

How much does Ayrshare cost?

Ayrshare bills per social profile, where a profile is one customer, brand or location. Premium is $149 a month for 1 profile, Launch is $299 for up to 10 profiles with a 28-day free trial and no card, and Business is $599 for 30, with tiered pricing beyond that. Every plan includes unlimited posts and API calls.

Is there a free alternative to Ayrshare?

Several have a free start. LotsSocial gives 5,000 free credits, valid 90 days, no card. Zernio's first two connected accounts are free. bundle.social's free plan includes API access for 3 accounts and 20 posts a month, and Upload-Post's free plan gives 10 uploads a month and 2 profiles.

Is there an open-source alternative to Ayrshare?

Postiz is open source, can be self-hosted, and also has a hosted cloud with an MCP server, CLI and API on every plan. Self-hosting means registering your own developer app on each network.

Can I use Ayrshare's MCP server in Claude?

In Claude Code, yes: you add the server with your API key as a header. Ayrshare's docs say a personal connector in Claude Desktop, claude.ai or Claude mobile can't authenticate, because the server needs a static Authorization: Bearer header and publishes no OAuth metadata. LotsSocial, Zernio, Outstand, Post Bridge and Postiz sign in with OAuth instead.

Do I need my own X developer app?

With Ayrshare, yes: since 31 March 2026, X requests need your own OAuth 1.0a credentials. Outstand also asks for your own app on X. LotsSocial runs the X app for you, with no extra charge for X.
